Privacy Policy
No accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no trackers. Here is everything we actually store.
Last updated 1 September 2026.
The short version
https://rankbid.lol is operated by Orixadesign LLC (https://orixadesign.com), which is the data controller for anything described here.
The Site has no accounts, no login, no cookies, no analytics product, and no advertising or tracking scripts. We do not build profiles of visitors and we have nothing to sell to anyone who would want one.
The board itself is public by design: what a listing paid, and how many clicks it has received, is the product.
What is public
When you pay for a listing, the following is shown publicly and is intended to be:
- The name you entered, and the URL or handle you listed.
- The description and icon read from the listed site's own public homepage.
- The total amount paid for the listing, and the amount and time of each payment toward it.
- The number of clicks the listing has received, and the date it first took a rank.
What we store
Four tables, and nothing else:
- Listings — the public fields above.
- Payments — the amount, the time, and Stripe's own identifiers for the session and the payment. Enough to prove a rank was bought and to refuse a duplicate. No name, no email, no card data.
- Clicks — the listing that was clicked and the time. Nothing that identifies who clicked: no IP address, no user agent, no referrer, no visitor id.
- Visitors — one row per browser, holding a random id that browser generated for itself, when it was first seen and when it was last seen. It exists solely to draw the two counters in the header.
What we do not store
We do not store names, email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers, card numbers, IP addresses, user agents, referrer headers, device fingerprints, or any identifier that could be matched to you on another site.
The visitor id is random, generated in your browser, and is never joined to a listing, a payment, or a click. There is nothing in our database that connects a person to a purchase.
Payments
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. Your card details are given to Stripe, never to us, and never pass through our servers.
Stripe collects what it needs to process a payment and to meet its legal obligations, including your email address and card details, under its own privacy policy. If you have paid, Stripe holds a record of that even though we do not hold your identity.
We receive back only Stripe's identifiers for the session and payment, and the amount. That is what we store.
Browser storage
We set no cookies. We use two keys in your browser's local storage, both of which stay on your device:
- A random visitor id, sent with a periodic heartbeat so the header can say how many people are online and how many have visited in total.
- Your light or dark theme choice, so the page does not flash the wrong colours before it loads.
- Clearing site data in your browser removes both. The counters will then treat you as a new visitor.
Presence
"Online now" is not stored. It is counted at the moment you ask for it, as the number of browsers that have checked in within the last 120 seconds. A browser that stops checking in drops out of the count on its own.
Requests your browser makes to others
One, and only when it is needed. Where a listing has no icon of its own that we could read, the board falls back to Google's public favicon service to draw one, which means your browser requests an image from google.com. Google may log that request as it would any other. Listings whose own icon we hold do not trigger it.
Fonts are served from this site, not from Google Fonts, so no request goes out for them. There are no embedded scripts, pixels, widgets, share buttons, or embeds from anyone.
Requests we make to listed sites
After a payment settles, our server fetches the listed site's homepage once to read its description and its icon. The site's owner will see that request in their logs, identified by our user agent. We read only those two values and nothing else from the response.
This runs after payment, never before, so it cannot be used to make us fetch an arbitrary address for free. Addresses on private networks are refused before any connection is opened.
Outbound links
Clicking a listing goes through this site first so the click can be counted, then forwards you to the destination with utm_source=rankbid added, so the listed site can see in its own analytics that the visit came from here. We pass nothing else, and we do not tell the destination anything about you.
How long we keep it
The payment ledger and the listings built from it are permanent. The board is a permanent public record of what was paid, and rank is derived from that record, so deleting it would rewrite everyone's position.
Visitor rows persist so that the total-visitors counter stays a total. They contain a random id and two timestamps and cannot be traced to a person.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about visitors, there is generally nothing for us to look up, export, or erase on request — clearing your browser storage removes everything associated with your device.
If you paid, Stripe holds your details as the payment processor and you can exercise your rights against it directly. If you believe we hold something about you and want it removed, write to contact@orixadesign.com and we will look. Note that a listing's public record and the amounts paid toward it are not removed, as they are the board itself.
We have never sold or shared personal information, and we do not have any to sell. We do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and there is no opt-out to offer because there is nothing to opt out of.
Children
The Site is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If what we store changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
